Onward NRV recently represented Virginia’s New River Valley at the Highlander Festival in the City of Radford. This annual festival celebrates the region’s Celtic heritage through music, clan gatherings, bagpipes, Highland games, and more. Since its beginnings in the mid-1990s, the festival has attracted crowds of up to 10,000 attendees.
Partnering with the NRV Brand Ambassadors, Onward participated as a vendor with the goal of promoting the region’s quality of life and increasing awareness of the NRV brand. Ambassadors and Onward staff engaged with attendees to highlight opportunities, local amenities, and ways for residents and visitors alike to become more involved throughout the region.
The event also provided an opportunity to expand the NRV Brand Ambassador Pilot Program and evaluate its effectiveness in introducing people to the many opportunities available across the New River Valley.
