This fall, Onward NRV continued its NRV Talent Tours program in the City of Radford, partnering with Radford High School and Regal Rexnord to give students a firsthand look at career opportunities in the region.
On October 8th, 13 Radford High School students visited Regal Rexnord for an inside look at the company’s operations. The program included an overview of the organization, conversations with employees about their career paths, and a guided tour of the facility. Through these interactions, students gained valuable insight into the variety of roles available within the company and a closer look at the day-to-day operations of a local manufacturing facility. The day concluded with lunch, providing additional time for students and Regal Rexnord representatives to connect, ask questions, and continue conversations about career opportunities.
The NRV Talent Tour program is designed to introduce high school students to key industries in Virginia’s New River Valley, including advanced manufacturing, while helping them explore potential career paths. Through direct engagement with local employers, students gain a better understanding of the education, skills, and experiences that can lead to success in a variety of occupations.
The program supports Onward NRV’s mission of strengthening the region’s talent pipeline by connecting students with local industries and increasing awareness of the opportunities available throughout the New River Valley.
