On October 27th, Onward NRV hosted its Fall Tech/IT and Manufacturing Leaders’ Summits, bringing together industry leaders from across the New River Valley to connect, collaborate, and explore opportunities shaping the future of their industries.
Designed to foster meaningful engagement and relationship-building, both summits provided attendees with opportunities to learn from industry experts, exchange ideas, and strengthen connections with peers from across the region.
The day began with the Tech/IT Leaders’ Summit, where attendees gathered to hear from Dr. Andrew Kulak of Triple Point Security, a full-service cybersecurity, cloud computing security, and talent development consulting firm. Dr. Kulak shared insights into the company’s cybersecurity services, internship program, and partnership opportunities. Recognized this year as one of Virginia’s Top Employers for Interns, the presentation highlighted Triple Point Security’s commitment to developing talent pipelines while helping organizations navigate an increasingly complex cybersecurity landscape. Following the presentation, attendees participated in a facilitated networking exchange designed to encourage meaningful conversations, idea sharing, and new connections among technology and IT professionals.
Later that evening, manufacturing leaders joined Onward NRV at Virginia Tech for the Manufacturing Leaders’ Summit held in partnership with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Virginia Tech MADE. The event showcased how Virginia Tech is preparing students for careers in engineering and manufacturing while highlighting opportunities for industry engagement and collaboration. Attendees learned about partnership opportunities, connected with fellow manufacturing leaders, and participated in exclusive tours of Virginia Tech’s engineering and manufacturing laboratories. The tours provided firsthand insight into the technologies, research, and hands-on learning experiences helping prepare the next generation of manufacturing talent.
By creating opportunities for leaders to connect and share ideas, Onward NRV continues to strengthen relationships that support the long-term growth and success of the New River Valley’s key industries.
