Onward NRV Presents NRV Branding During IEDC Webinar

Onward NRV presented its award-winning regional branding initiative for Virginia’s New River Valley during the International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) “Extreme Makeover, #EconDev Edition” webinar on October 21, 2021.

During the presentation, Director of Marketing Katie Boswell gave an overview of the region and shared the story of the rebranding process for Onward NRV and Virginia’s New River Valley. She showed the “Virginia’s New River Valley” regional video and the “Tech Jobs in the NRV: Find Your Career” videos with participants as examples of how to use branding as a tool for community placemaking. Both videos are featured below.

Boswell was grateful to have the opportunity to share the NRV regional branding with economic developers from across the country. “The branding for Virginia’s New River Valley is one of many initiatives Onward NRV has completed through its five-year economic development strategy for our region. I was honored to get to share about our organization and our branding with leaders in the economic development field,” she said.
