Onward NRV Holds Spring 2024 Manufacturing Leaders’ Summit at Inmotion

On May 2, 2024, manufacturing leaders from across the region gathered at Inmotion USA to network and learn about leadership training and the Inmotion Operational Excellence journey.

James Smith and Bert Eades of GENEDGE had the opportunity to speak to local manufacturers about key leadership skills and opportunities available to manufacturers through the GENDEDGE initiative. According to their website, GENEDGE is an organization dedicated to helping manufacturers get answers, get support, and get rolling.

After GENEDGE spoke about the resources available to manufacturers, Chris Wickline of Inmotion shared about their company and the impact Inmotion is making on a global scale. Chris then introduced Operational Excellence Leader at Inmotion USA Joe Jackson. Joe spoke to the attendees about Inmotion’s plan for operational excellence and the processes that they have implemented to reach their targeted goals.

Following the presentations, Inmotion staff led tours around their facilities and showcased the processes in action.

The summits are held to foster collaboration among the NRV industry leaders, giving them a platform to define common challenges while presenting opportunities and resources to support the continued growth of the manufacturing industry in the NRV.

Onward NRV hosts Manufacturing Leaders’ Summits twice a year as part of the organization’s five-year strategy to promote economic development in Virginia’s New River Valley.
