Onward Represents NRV at Business Horizons Career Fair

Onward NRV’s Senior Director of Engagement, Samantha Livesay, and Talent Strategies Coordinator, Max Davenport, recently represented Virginia’s New River Valley at the Virginia Tech Business Horizons Career Fair located in the Squires Student Center Commonwealth Ballroom.

At the event, Samantha and Max introduced students to the exciting job opportunities available in the NRV and built valuable connections. They showcased the Virginia’s New River Valley job board and highlighted key positions within Onward’s targeted industries: Advanced Manufacturing, Information Technology, Uncrewed Systems, and Food Processing and Agribusiness.

Through meaningful conversations, Samantha and Max encouraged students to consider making the NRV their home after graduation. They connected with students eager to explore the region’s job market and students were able to sign up to receive a NRV jobs email newsletter.

Onward NRV consistently participates in career fairs at New River Community College, Radford University, and Virginia Tech as part of its strategic effort to attract and retain talent, fueling regional growth.
