Onward NRV Launches Onward 2028 5-Year Strategic Plan

Onward NRV launched their 5-year strategic plan on July 1st. The plan, called Onward 2028, supports Onward NRV’s mission to attract and retain world-class jobs, investment, and talent in Virginia’s New River Valley. It is a roadmap for new business attraction, talent retention and attraction, and ensuring the New River Valley remains a competitive destination for businesses and people.

Over the next five years, Onward will execute four main strategies to stimulate economic growth, new jobs, and capital investment in the region.

• Business | Attract and Grow Business to Stimulate New Jobs and Investment
• Marketing | Market the NRV as a Competitive Destination for Talent and Companies
• Regionalism | Strengthen the Connectedness of the Region

Onward NRV’s fundraising campaign, Onward 2028: Join the Movement, has generated funding to help the organization reach these objectives over the next five years. With a total of 76 current pledges and raising 78% of their private-sector goal, Onward NRV is continuing to make progress toward completely funding the initiatives in the Onward 2028 five-year strategic plan.
