In early May, Onward NRV participated in the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit, where Executive Director Katie Boswell engaged in a wide range of networking events to showcase the strong business climate in Virginia’s New River Valley.
The 2026 Summit brought together more than 5,500 attendees from 100 countries and 55 U.S. states and territories. According to SelectUSA, the Investment Summit is “the highest-profile event in the United States dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment.” During the event, Katie promoted the New River Valley to international companies seeking opportunities to expand their operations in the United States.
Participating in the SelectUSA Investment Summit is one of the key ways Onward NRV cultivates new business investment opportunities. This work directly supports the organization’s strategic plan goal of attracting and growing industry to stimulate new jobs and investment in the region.
