Onward NRV Attends Select USA with Local Partners

NEW RIVER VALLEY, VA – Onward New River Valley attended the Select USA Investment Summit, the highest-profile event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment in the U.S. Coordinated by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the summit brings together companies from all over the world and economic development agencies from all over the U.S.

Onward’s goal for the exhibition was to make new contacts with businesses looking to expand to the U.S. and encourage them to visit the New River Valley.

Executive Director Charlie Jewell attended the summit with Brian Hamilton (Montgomery County Economic Development Director), Lydeana Martin (Floyd County Community and Economic Development Director), and Michael Solomon (Pulaski County Economic Development Director).

In order to facilitate conversations and entice people to visit the NRV booth, Onward gave out regionally branded tote bags, sticky notes, pens, and cups.
