Onward NRV Names Max Davenport Talent Strategies Coordinator
Katie Boswell, Onward NRV Executive Director, has named Max Davenport the organization’s Talent Strategies Coordinator effective October 23, 2023. In this newly created position, Max will focus on coordinating efforts around talent attraction and retention to support regional growth in Virginia’s New River Valley.
“I am delighted that Max is joining the Onward NRV team as our new Talent Strategies Coordinator,” said Boswell. “His passion for connecting with people and his energy for engaging throughout the region will make him an immediate asset to our organization. He will be a valuable member of our team as we expand our initiatives to attract and retain talent in the region through our Onward 2028 five-year economic development strategy.”

Max joins Onward NRV from Emerson Street Media, a strategic communications agency based in Washington, D.C., where he has been working as a remote Account Supervisor since June 2022 while living in Virginia’s New River Valley.
Max has a strong background in higher education, organizational communication, and speechwriting. A native of Knoxville, TN, he earned a Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Tennessee. Max is drawn to the NRV because of its stunning scenery and easy access to the great outdoors. In his spare time, Max enjoys attending concerts, participating in outdoor activities, and visiting local vintage markets.
