Onward NRV Hosts Summer Investor Reception at The Eighty Four
Onward NRV hosted their investors at the Eighty Four in Floyd County for a picturesque Summer Investor Reception on Thursday, June 9th. The event was sponsored by Member One Federal Credit Union.
Katie Boswell, Executive Director of Onward NRV, welcomed elected officials, board members, investors, and guests to the event. Andrea Milliron with Member One Federal Credit Union talked about their products for both personal and commercial use. She expressed her excitement for sponsoring the reception at a new venue location.
Boswell updated the investors on recent prospect activity, the upcoming 2022 NRV Experience, the organization’s progress on the Onward 2023 five-year strategic plan, and the planning process for the organization’s new five-year strategic plan with Creative Economic Development Consulting.
Samantha Livesay, Director of Business Engagement, graciously welcomed Ross Mecham to the podium as the evening’s guest speaker. Mecham, an experienced human capital consultant, has a twenty-year track record in developing performance-based organizations. He provided valuable insights into shaping and elevating company culture to drive employee loyalty and retention.
Mecham defined corporate culture as “a set of share norms and expectations of employees. It defines how things are done. To leverage your culture, you must be your true self.” He left the attendees with four key takeaways: define your culture, share your culture with other leaders in your organization, leverage your culture, and dive into recruiting.
Onward NRV would like to express a sincere thank you to Member One Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the Summer Investor Reception, and to the 110+ investors who support Onward NRV, its vision, and its mission.
