Onward NRV Attends SSG 2024 Annual Conference

Executive Director Katie Boswell attended the Site Selectors Guild 2024 Annual Conference on behalf of Onward NRV from April 3-5, 2024. The three-day event in Nashville was filled with valuable insights from site selectors and opportunities to network with economic developers from across the country.

Boswell represented Virginia’s New River Valley during two rounds of Table Talks, where economic developers engage directly with site selectors to promote their regions, ask questions about current trends, and build relationships. She also attended two breakout sessions on relevant topics, listened to a business case study on the site selection process, and participated in a question-and-answer breakout room where a group of southeast economic developers got to ask questions to a panel of site selectors.

During the final session of the conference, members of the Guild unveiled the 2024 State of Site Selection Report. This biannual report was first released in 2020 and is an invaluable resource which highlights “the issues that are impacting corporate decision-makers and their advisors”.
