Onward NRV Attends 2023 SelectUSA Investment Summit

Onward New River Valley recently attended the 2023 SelectUSA Investment Summit, the highest-profile event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment in the United States. Coordinated by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the summit connects companies from all over the world with economic development agencies from across the United States.

During the Investment Summit, Onward NRV promoted Virginia’s New River Valley through a booth in the Exhibition Hall. Onward NRV’s goal for the exhibition was to make new contacts with businesses looking to expand to the U.S. and encourage them to consider the New River Valley as a potential business location. With this being the biggest SelectUSA Investment Summit ever held that represented 83 international markets, Onward was able to promote the region to a variety of different international companies.

Executive Director Katie Boswell and Floyd County Community & Economic Development Director Lydeana Martin attended the 2023 SelectUSA Investment Summit where they were able to connect with over 35 different organizations. Katie will continue to reach out to these connections and help them visualize how the NRV is a natural fit for their businesses.
