Onward 2028 Strategic Plan Goal 4: Regionalism

Onward NRV’s mission is to attract and retain world class jobs, investment, and talent in Virginia’s New River Valley. With committed leadership, steadfast investors, and a passionate staff, Onward NRV’s new 5-year strategic plan will boost talent attraction marketing, increase business attraction outreach, support local site development, and foster regional collaboration.

The Onward 2028 strategic plan outlines a roadmap for Onward NRV to lead collaboration across the region, sparking innovation and cross-pollinating ideas. Onward NRV will accomplish this by focusing on four main goals: (1) Talent (2) Business (3) Marketing and (4) Regionalism.

The fourth goal is to strengthen the connectedness of the region in the following ways:

• Identify economic development funding sources
• Lead regional collaboration and thought leadership
• Lead multi-regional collaboration
