Onward 2028 Strategic Plan Goal 2: Business

Onward NRV is committed to creating strategic economic growth in Virginia’s New River Valley. With the collaboration of local economic development organizations, regional stakeholders, and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), Onward NRV’s goal is to make serious impact with their new Onward 2028 five-year strategic plan.

Onward 2028: Join the Movement takes a modern, comprehensive approach to economic development that focuses on (1) Talent, (2) Business, (3) Marketing, and (4) Regionalism.

The second goal in the new plan is to attract and grow business to stimulate new jobs and investment in the New River Valley. Onward will support this goal with the following strategies:

• Cultivating new business investment
• Supporting existing competitiveness
• Advocating for ready-to-go sites and buildings
• Promoting FTZ #238
