NRV Experience 2021 Wraps Up at Eastern Divide

Onward NRV hosted a Wrap-Up Event for the NRV Experience 2021 at Eastern Divide Brewing Company on July 30, 2021. The event brought together interns and employers who participated in this year’s cohort. There was a chance for interns to network with their employers as well as young professional groups and alumni associations from across the NRV. Interns who attended at least five of the seven events over the summer were given certificates of completion for the program.

The NRV Experience is a seven-week long summer curriculum designed to support employer internship programs by helping their interns grow professionally while also experiencing the full benefits of living and working in Virginia’s New River Valley. It is an initiative through Onward NRV’s five-year economic development strategy for the region. The goal of the NRV Experience is to increase the number of young professionals living and working in the region post-graduation by exposing the participants to the wide variety of cultural, recreational, and outdoor amenities available across the NRV.
