Onward NRV 2018 Holiday Mailer Campaign

It’s the holiday season! For Onward NRV that means it’s time for holiday mailers. There are 100 holiday packages from Onward NRV being delivered throughout the U.S. and internationally this week. The mailers are a marketing campaign targeted toward top site consultants all over the world and partners at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership. The mailers included:

• Virginia’s New River Valley hot/cold tumbler filled with chocolate
• Red Rooster Coffee
• Forbes article naming Red Rooster one of the best coffee roasters in the US
• Holiday card from Onward NRV
• Information about Virginia’s New River Valley

The goal of the campaign was to tell the story of Virginia’s New River Valley by promoting it’s assets, while also encouraging site selectors to learn more about the region and ultimately come for a visit.

Thank you so much for thinking of me and I hope we can catch up the next time I’m down in the NRV.” The whole Onward NRV team pitched in to create, order, assemble, and send the mailers. It’s great news to hear they are a hit. The mailer campaign supports Goal 1 (Industry) and Goal 3 (Placemaking) of the Onward 2023 five-year strategy. This marketing campaign was made possible by the generous funding awarded to Onward NRV through the Appalachian Power EDGE Grant.
