Onward Presents to Virginia Maritime Association’s Southwest Chapter

Samantha Livesay, Senior Director of Business Engagement of Onward New River Valley, was invited to present at the Virginia Maritime Association’s Southwest Chapter quarterly meeting on August 15, 2024. During her presentation, Samantha introduced Onward NRV’s mission and five-year strategic plan, Onward 2028, to the association’s members. She highlighted the organization’s efforts to attract and retain talent, support business growth, and promote Virginia’s New River Valley as a natural fit for both businesses and professionals.

The Southwest Virginia Chapter of the Virginia Maritime Association is Chaired by Cameron Peel of Camrett Logistics. The major port industries in the region include manufacturing, information technology, farming, coal mining and tobacco. Its regional asset is the 1-81 Corridor.
