Onward NRV and Local Partners Exhibit at SelectUSA 2022

In late June, Onward NRV sponsored a booth promoting Virginia’s New River Valley at the 2022 SelectUSA Investment Summit. Local economic developers from across the region collaborated with Onward NRV to staff the booth and promote the NRV to companies attending the Summit. The attending LEDOs included Brian Hamilton (Montgomery County Economic Development Director), Michael Solomon (Pulaski County Economic Development Director), and Drew Foxx (Virginia’s First Regional Industrial Facility Authority Project Manager).

According to the SelectUSA website, the “Investment Summit is the highest-profile event in the United States dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI).” At the event, economic development organizations from across the country exhibited to promote their localities, regions, and states to foreign companies looking to grow their businesses in the United States.

Exhibiting at the SelectUSA Investment Summit is one way that Onward NRV cultivates new business investment opportunities, which is part of our organization’s first strategic plan goal to attract and grow industry to stimulate new jobs and investment. Onward NRV has participated in the Investment Summit either virtually or in-person in previous years.
