Onward NRV Featured in NRV Housing Study Story on WDBJ7

Onward NRV was featured in a recent WDBJ7 news story about the state of housing in the New River Valley. WDBJ7’s Jen Cardone interviewed Director of Business Engagement James Cabler about the recently published NRV Regional + Local Housing Study and the state of housing in the region. The study was completed by the New River Valley Regional Commission, the Virginia Center for Housing Research at Virginia Tech, and HousingForward Virginia to identify and address current housing needs in Virginia’s New River Valley.

In his interview, James focused on how NRV housing availability affects regional talent attraction. According to James, “Housing availability is definitely something that from a talent attraction standpoint is paramount. The more affordable housing that’s available in the New River Valley, the better it is for the entire economy of the region.”
