Onward NRV held its Summer Investor Reception on Thursday, June 12th at the scenic Pete Dye River Course in Pulaski County. The event was generously sponsored by Elliott, Inc., a commercial real estate firm that helps businesses find the right location to grow and thrive.
Executive Director Katie Boswell welcomed elected officials, board members, investors, and special guests. She opened the evening with updates on staffing and a preview of upcoming events, setting the stage for an evening focused on growth and innovation in Virginia’s New River Valley.
Rachel Johnson, Director of Marketing, unveiled the newly redesigned websites for TheNRV.org and OnwardNRV.org . She shared how the refreshed sites are designed to better promote the region’s strengths to businesses, talent, and visitors alike. Following her presentation, Rachel introduced event sponsor Carmen Elliott, owner of Elliott, Inc., who spoke briefly about her company’s work in helping businesses across Virginia secure commercial properties for sale and lease.
Carmen then welcomed keynote speaker Holly Kobia of Kobia Consulting. Holly delivered an inspiring message on the importance of adaptability in a changing economy. Her remarks emphasized the value of prioritizing people and staying flexible in the face of uncertainty.
