Onward NRV Supports Local AUVSI Unmanned Systems Symposium
Onward NRV supported unmanned systems in Virginia’s New River Valley this week through the annual unmanned systems symposium hosted by Ridge & Valley chapter of Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI).
Onward NRV sponsored the first day’s lunch and Marketing Manager Abigail Hammack had the opportunity to show the new Virginia’s New River Valley video and speak to the crowd of over 100 on the support and growth of unmanned systems in the region. She also served as the Marketing Committee Chair for the event.
One of the initiatives of Onward NRV’s long-range strategy for the NRV is to support and grow the four targeted industries for the region, one of which is unmanned systems.
Onward NRV also provided attendees with Unmanned Systems targeted industry brochures and other regional information.
This year’s conference theme was “At the Intersection” and focused on challenges and opportunities that increasingly appear at the intersections of fundamental areas, such as human and machine; ground and air; or software and security.
The conference was attended by professionals, educators, and students from all over the US.
If you are with a company, or you know of a company, interested in locating in an emerging hub for unmanned systems, contact Onward NRV Executive Director Charlie Jewell at charlie@onwardnrv.org.
