Onward NRV Represents Region at Game Changer Week Block Party

Onward NRV recently represented Virginia’s New River Valley at the Game Changer Week Block party at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center (VTCRC) on September 7, 2023. Onward staff had the opportunity to speak about the New River Valley with higher education students and those who are innovating in the technology sector in the region. They also had the opportunity to spread brand awareness by handing out NRV merchandise.

Game Changer Week 2023 was the third year of the event, which is collaboratively organized by the VTCRC, the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council (RBTC), and other Virginia technology leaders. The purpose of the weeklong event is to help “connect generations of game changers including panels and guest speakers that have founded well-known companies; access to capital programs for entrepreneurs in various growth phases; and all the people contributing to make our region competitive in the world-wide tech ecosystem.”

Attending such events aligns with Goal 3 of Onward’s five-year strategic plan of marketing the region as a competitive destination for talent and companies.
